Hikaya by Maison Jaber ("Hikaya", "we", "us") creates personalised children's storybooks. The website is operated by Maison Jaber FZ-LLC from the United Arab Emirates, and we currently deliver to the UAE and the other GCC countries. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, and how we use it.

You may ask to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

6. Data retention

We keep order and account information for as long as needed to fulfill your order, meet legal or accounting obligations, and resolve any disputes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your child's photos: photos you upload to personalise a book are kept in private storage and deleted automatically within 15 days of the day they were uploaded. This applies whether or not the order is completed, so photos from unfinished or unpaid orders are deleted on the same schedule. Deletion runs automatically every day. Your order record keeps only a reference to the file, not the photo itself. You can ask us to delete a photo sooner at any time by emailing hello@maison-jaber.com.

We also count visits with a simple counter that uses no cookies and keeps no personal data, and we see totals of the Google searches that lead to our site (Google Search Console), which never identify anyone. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page, and control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children's information

Our service is intended for use by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We collect a child's first name, age, and photo only because a parent or guardian has chosen to provide it in order to create a personalised product for that child. Photos are used only to illustrate that child's book and are deleted within 15 days of upload (see Data retention).

6. مدة الاحتفاظ بالبيانات

نحتفظ ببيانات الطلبات والحسابات طوال المدة اللازمة لتنفيذ طلبك والوفاء بالالتزامات القانونية والمحاسبية وحلّ أي خلاف. ويمكنك أن تطلب حذف حسابك وبياناته في أي وقت

صور طفلك: نحفظ الصور التي ترفعها لتخصيص الكتاب في مساحة تخزين خاصة، وتُحذف تلقائيًا خلال 15 يومًا من يوم رفعها، سواء اكتمل الطلب أم لا، فصور الطلبات غير المكتملة أو غير المدفوعة تُحذف وفق الموعد نفسه. تعمل عملية الحذف تلقائيًا كل يوم، ولا يحتفظ سجلّ طلبك إلا بمرجع للملف وليس بالصورة نفسها. ويمكنك أن تطلب حذف الصورة قبل ذلك في أي وقت عبر البريد hello@maison-jaber.com

7. ملفات تعريف الارتباط والتتبّع

نستخدم ملفات تعريف الارتباط وتقنيات مشابهة ضمن ثلاث فئات:

8. معلومات الأطفال

خدمتنا موجّهة إلى الآباء والأمهات وأولياء الأمور نيابةً عن أطفالهم. لا نجمع الاسم الأول للطفل وعمره وصورته إلا لأن أحد والديه أو وليّ أمره اختار تقديمها لصنع منتج مخصّص لهذا الطفل، ولا نستخدم الصور إلا لرسم كتاب هذا الطفل، وتُحذف خلال 15 يومًا من رفعها (انظر مدة الاحتفاظ بالبيانات)

حذف بياناتك: إن سجّلت الدخول عبر فيسبوك أو Google، اطّلع على طريقة حذف بياناتك لإزالة حكاية من حسابك وطلب حذف ما نحتفظ به
